Longtime member of the Chicago Council of Lawyers, and member of the board of governors, Rob Held is quoted in a CBS news story about his experiences protesting outside the ICE facility in Broadview, Illinois.

Mr. Held questions the “First Amendment area” demarcated by concrete barriers intended to keep protestors at a distance from the ICE facility. “I don’t think we need a First Amendment area,” he said, “We need ICE to recognize that there is a First Amendment.”

We’re proud of the actions our members are taking to preserve democracy in Chicago and are proud to share this example with you.
